Summary
Recognizing the need to modernize facilities and expand capacity for ambulatory and surgical services, Galion Community Hospital, in Galion, Ohio, hired Hplex to lead the OACM team through a major expansion and renovation of the hospital.
The Hplex Solution
As the owner representative, Hplex acted as a partner and advocate for Galion Community Hospital through every phase of the +/- $8M construction project, including: planning, design and construction. By involving Hplex from the very start, the hospital was able to save significant dollars through careful contract negations and consistent oversight of the complete design and construction processes. The results of the project include: a dynamic new “face” of the hospital, state-of-the-art surgical facilities, space for future growth and completion of a complex project within budget and on time.
Galion Community Hospital modernized their facility by substantially expanding and renovating the front entrance of the hospital and adding +/- 39,000 square feet specialized space for hospital and physician use. The project included the addition of four state-of-the-art operating suites, two endoscopy suites, integrated ambulatory surgery facilities, a physical therapy department, a conference center, a new lobby entry and atrium, a gift shop and expanded parking for both patients and hospital staff.
