THE SITUATION

Hplex Solutions was engaged to review a master plan that was completed by another architect firm (prior to Trinity Heath Group). The Master Plan called for a $126MM patient tower to be built on a very small urban site, where parking, vehicular and pedestrian traffic all would mix together.

THE HPLEX SOLUTION

Hplex was able to arrive at a better solution which reduced the cost to $80,000,000, and included needed patient beds, expansion of a parking garage, relocation of the helipad onto the roof, adding a Cancer Center/MOB to the campus plan and modernizing public areas. All of this has been planned in “phase plan” that allowed the hospital to finance and fund these projects in an organized manner. The end result was significant less cost and increased clinical services as well as patient beds that have helped create a significantly improved environment for patient and visitors.

This Project was on an extremely aggressive schedule due to a need for more bed capacity. It also was challenging work with the City for approvals due to neighborhood concerns but we were able to meet all critical completion dates.
